Good morning, I would like your opinion on what I have right now. Please note that I am aware of the fact that my application does not look favourable, but your contributions and opinions is greatly appreciated, hence why I am asking.
I am a 22 year old female URM Nigerian applicant (permanent resident), with a cGPA of 3.6 ( which will be increasing upon completion of my BSN), a sGPA of 3.82 and MCAT of 498 (125/124/124/125). I have an associate in Nursing, with cumulative 2.5 years of ICU, and ER experience.
Total of 230 hours shadowing the following specialties: OBGYN MD, GI MD and Urology MD. (Future plans to shadow a ER/ICU MD, as well as a Trauma DO). Again, I know my chances are not very good, but I would be grateful for recommendations you can throw my way @Goro and @Faha and other contributors.

Can you fill out a WAMC template? That will help us.
I am not sure if this is what you meant, but this was what I found.

  1. cGPA: 3.6 and sGPA: 3.82
  2. 498 (125/124/124/125)
  3. Texan (citizenship: Nigerian)
  4. Black Female
  5. MCAT score(s) and breakdown
  6. Associate Degree in Nursing finishing up BSN
  7. I do not have much in terms of volunteer but with my line of work I pretty much work anywhere the help is needed especially during COVID.
  8. Again, I do not have contributions in research as well.
  9. Total shadowing hours 230 (30 with OBGYN MD, 100 with Urologist MD, and 100 With GI MD)
  10. I have do not seem to have non-clinical volunteer hours as well, I have spent most of my time around clinical and not much else.
  11. My most extracurricular activities pretty much includes reading,
  12. My background is in nursing, with a total of 2.8 years experience spread across a range of acuity (8 months Medical/Telemetry, 1 year ICU and 1 year ER)

How long have you been living in the US?

I would definitely suggest meeting up with SNMA student officers at the schools on your list, especially in-state. As @Faha also suggested, the HBCU's would also be very interested in your backstory. Read Building Your Best School List - SDN .

I have been living in the US for 9 years. I would reach out to the SNMA officers like you said.
