What you're describing is being a plastic and reconstructive surgeon. This field focuses on reconstruction of skin defects including burns. They also do reconstructive work involving the hand and face. As you know, they can also focus on cosmetic work such as liposuction and breast augmentation.
There can sometimes be a bit of angst from medical schools about career choices of future students. Be aware of where you'll be applying. My school, for example, is VERY primary care oriented so a personal statement speaking about being a surgeon would not be well received. Never lie though and say something that you can't back up in an interview. I wasn't about to tell the admissions committee I wanted to be a family doc because I had no experience/shadowing in that field and so therefore I would have no basis for my statement except as a weakly veiled attempt to get in their good graces.
Good luck to you!
