They call us at work...kind of annoying. All they want is to get you an interview. You don't even know who you are interviewing with. I learned my own lesson by being stalked by one of them 😡 Have you guys ever gotten job through them? 😕 That's not the only way to get a job, is it?

I sent my resume to one agency so far .. they called me twice in the same day. Even though I told them I wont get my license for another week or two.

Since I don't want to sign any full time contracts, I think going through them working at different positions is the only option for me.. I just want to explore the market at different positions since this will be my first job as a Pharmacist.

Let me tell you about recruiters. Oh they sound so sincere and professional on the phone... "I'm an executive recruiter from..." Executive my ass.

They will forward gazillion resumes to a potential employer. Trust me, your resume is probably lost in the stack. And why? Because they usually try to charge 25% of the annual salary.

I used to tell the recruiters $10,000 flat fee or no deal. They usually used to respond..."but sir, that's unprescedented..." and I used to respond.. "well, you better start a trend."

Now, they will work with multiple pharmacists for a single position yet if they find out you're working with more than one recruiter, they really get their feelings hurt... Also, because many employers refuse to work with these sleazeballs, they're only limited to few hospitals who's willing to work with them. There are many many hospitals who will not entertain these people.. So if you're working with a recruiter, make sure you send out your resume to every hospital on your own.

Good Luck.

I got my job from a recruiter and one of my coworkers who started with me got her job through the same recruiter. We just had a position open up and already recruiters have been contacted to set up interviews.

I absolutely love my job and I would not have gotten it without a recruiter setting everything up for me. Thanks, Bob!

I absolutely love my job

ehhh... I told you so... We've had a discussion about your current employer some years ago because I was one of the DOPs for them... You were dead against it..
