I have over 1,000 hours working as a Dental Assistant but I left in 2013. I haven't talked to the dentists since I left and don't feel comfortable asking them for a letter because of that. Would it be a red flag if I don't have a letter from any of the . Or if I don't have a letter from a dentist in general?

Did you leave on bad terms? If not, I would absolutely ask them. 2013 was just a few years ago; I'd be surprised if they weren't amenable!

Unless you want your app in the trashbin, you'd better get a letter from a general dentist. Many schools have that specific letter as a requirement.

No its fine if you dont specifically from them
