Sure, you can just ask professors to upload directly to AADSAS- that's what I did and it worked out great. It's more efficient too since committees tend to take forever to get things done.

As soon as you put their emails into AADSAS, they automatically get sent an email with instructions on how to upload electronically. So I would just let your professors know to look out for that email. They can upload a word doc or pdf for the letter, and then when they submit it you get sent an automatic email from AADSAS letting you know that it's done! Pretty simple process, you just need to remind your professors (politely) to get it done 🙂

I'll also add here - for me, the AADSAS email ended up in all of my references junk folders so I had to resend it. Make sure you give them a heads up that it might be there 🙂

I was in a similar situation last year; I wanted to go through the committee interview but didn't meet their stringent requirements to do so. Instead, I had all my letters sent to them and they compiled the letter packet as they would for any other student who went through the committee interview, but didn't put a committee letter on the top. If your committee has a reputation for being prompt and responsive, (I've heard horror stories of committees dragging their feet until well into the cycle) this might be a good option that would save you some legwork. Either way is fine.
