How do schools look on students that retake a class? I'm on my way to have a C+/B- so far this semester for bio, which i can still bring up but the most i'll prob get is a B. It's not that it's too hard for me, but i messed up on my first exam. If let's say i retake it during the summer and get a A, will only the new grade factor into my pharm gpa?

let me rephrase the question. My university of buffalo says that you have one chance to repeat the class, and that the 2nd grade will be your grade that is factored into your gpa. I am asking about pharmcas, will pharmcas calculate my gpa differently? for example, are they going to add the two classes together and use the average/grade of the two? or will pharmcas just take all my credits and grades and calculate it that way? thanks in advance.

PharmCAS will include both grades in your GPA that results in an averaging effect. Some schools may ask you to list grades in their secondaries and/or state that they will adjust your GPA to eliminate the failing grades if you have a better grade in the same course.

why re-take if you get a B? bio is hard!
