I don't know if ya'll knew about this but pre-meds get an airline discount for interviews. Here's the email I got from my advisor:

The NAAHP (National Association of Advisors for the Health Professions)
has a contract with American Airlines for reduced air fares for
interview trips. Students will receive 5% off of the lowest available
fares. The access phone numbers and index number follow:

NAAHP Official Health Professions Travel Desk: 800-882-6848. When
students
call this number they can book American or the agent will search for
lowest
fares on all carriers.

American Airlines Direct: 800-433-1790. The index number when calling
American is 14655. In both cases, payment is by credit card only.

How much a deal this is compared to what you might be able to find
on-line with other airlines is not clear.

Wow, how generous of them an entire 5%!Booking on the internet for most airlines gives you a bigger discount. They could at least make an effort to get us a bigger discount. Flights can get quite expensive with lots of interviews.

BUMP

also, does anyone know of a cheap way of getting from houston to dallas?

thanks!

If you buy your ticket more than 2 weeks in advance, it should only be about $60 on southwest depending on availability.

drive lazy bones!!!!!

ahem,
i don't have a car to drive. also, southwest used to have (like last week) these one-way fares for $34 from houston to dallas, but they pulled them! i only need a one-way ticket... :-(
