I'm thinking of cutting my EC's on AMCAS down to 10 from about 14, so that I can let the ADCOMS focus on my favorites (and the essentials like clinical experience) that I feel really define who I am. Do you think I'm doing myself an injustice by doing this? Among the things I was going to cut are a volunteer activity I did a few hours a week my junior yr, honor societies (I already have a scholarship award and honors college designation listed anyway for academic awards), and limited participation in the premed society (I figure it's a given that most premeds are in this club anyway, no?)
Also, I have an unused EMT certificate (didn't end up using it for various reasons). Do you think it is worth listing under awards? My counselor told me I should definitely list it regardless of whether I used it.
Any info, particularly from knowledgeable people like ADComs would be appreciated. Thanks.
