I'm reading through some of the ECG stuff in FA, primarily ECG dx of MI and some ECG abnormalities. BRS Physio doesn't really have information this topic. I'd like to read up on it just a little more to get a better understanding. Is there a preferred reference book among SDN for ECG? Hopefully something as well written and concise as the bRS.

From what I've heard Rapid Interpretation of EKGs by Dubin is excellent.

I actually started reading through the Physiology MRS and it does a pretty good job. Not sure if it's too simple but there's not a lot of ECG in First Aid to begin with.

for step 1? or life?

step 1- probably not, there are many ways to get the basics down.

life - probably yes, in my opinion, it would be the easiest way of learning it right

For step 1...
I guess that by saying the basics you 're referring to everything that's in FA. Right?

yes

note: i haven't taken step 1 yet - so if someone has and can verify that would be great, but i would assume ... step 1 ekg is minimal, and i dont think you need an alternative source to learn it ... and i have heard ekg isn't heavy on step 1

I thought www.learntheheart.com was great.
