How could I have gotten a regection even before a school has seen my application??

Is it possible? Maybe they don't like my name

They must have seen something. How else would they have gotten your name unless they got it off the AMCAS application.

Maybe because I can't spell reject?!?!

Did you apply to a school that won't allow out-of-staters to apply? Or who has a restriction that only lets neighboring state students apply?

If not, then I would call the school and ask them what they base their rejections on for a student who hasn't had their application processed yet. Maybe it is a mistake. Call them, you have nothing to lose.

I'm in a state next door.

My application shows that it hasn't been transmitted to the school. Could that be wrong??

The school must not do secondaries....goes straight to interviews because the letter said they weren't granting me and interview, not that they didn't want me to fill out a secondary app.

HMMMMM?

or they are a non mandatory in state school, but one that has a distinct cut off for the MCAT and they managed to get your score already

On my AMCAS application, there are three schools that still show up as untrasmitted but I know for a fact that the schools have received my application. This might be the case with you as well.

It is possible that they made a mistake. I'd at least try giving them a call just to make sure you didn't get the wrong letter or something.

New day, app still not transmitted to the school.

My numbers are good and I live in a neighboring state eligble for admission....very weird.

Are there many schools that don't do secondaries at all and go straight to interviews??

Also, the schools may not have the FULL application, but do have your name, address, and AMCAS ID. They get this before the "official" transmission.

So they can reject you prior to the official transmission. I would still call them though.

Go onto the AMCAS page and click the print app button. These transmission dates were updated for me even when my main page ones were not. Your app might have already been sent to them.

I did

Same thing, not transmitted

The schools might have already receieved your application from AMCAS. My app was just processed on Saturday 8/30, but when I looked at the list of my schools some of them had been transmitted as early as 08/18. I don't know if AMCAS was just late in updating my status or what.

Just for the record, you can't trust that AMCAS home page about school transmissions. I sent my secondary off to Loyola last week and according to AMCAS they've never even sent anything about me to Loyola. What a strange service...
