Yes indeed you do.....For example.....make sure you are clear on how to attack an epoxide under ACID or Basic conditions. Alkyne hydration is also regioselective..
Another example is if you have an alkene and treat it with Br2 and water . These are always types of problems that appear on exams.
In a regioselective reaction.....one constitutional isomer is produced over another. Is Markovnikovs rule an example of a regioselective reaction ...... The BIGGEST REACTION in all of Organic Chemistry ???? YOU BETCHA !!!!!!!!! This fancy sounding word is quite harmless !
