Can anyone recommend a good comprehensive regional anesthesia book with good coverage on both nerve stimulation and US techniques. I'm looking for something with US images and coverage of catheter placement.

Your screen name is an awesome record label.

Thanks for the suggestion. Wondering, does anyone also know anything about these books?

Atlas of Ultrasound- and Nerve Stimulation-Guided Regional Anesthesia by Vincent Chan

Atlas of Regional Anesthesia by David L. Brown

I own both the Hadzic and the Atlas of Ultrasound- and Nerve Stimulation-Guided Regional Anesthesia books (the author of this is actually Tsui, not Chan). Both are EXCELLENT.

I personally prefer the Tsui book-easy to read, well-organized, nice U/S images-but you could read EITHER cover to cover and be very well informed about all common regional anesthesia techniques as well as intermediate to advanced techniques.

I don't think the intricacies of catheter placement are covered well in either book--you might want to check out an ASRA weekend course for the how to's of catheters.

Yup, loved Metal Blade when I was a kid. Had some of the best metal bands.

They still do... amon amarth, behemoth, black dhalia, AILD, unearth...

Maybe I shouldn't be listening to this **** anymore, but I love it.

I've got a lot of them, and I'll tell you Paul Bigeleisen's recent one, "Ultrasound-Guided Regional Anesthesia..." is EXCELLENT. A terrific one based on nerve stimulation and off the radar is Gisela Meier's, "Peripheral Regional Anesthesia"
Absolutely OUTSTANDING.

These are both terrific. Check em out if you can.

I love Black Dahlia and Unearth. You're never to old for this. But I like old school stuff better. You a big Maiden fan?
