Ohh haven’t had one of these threads in a while. Incoming burns in 3, 2, 1...

Side note, your last 4 posts dating back over 8 months have been about this topic. Did you not like the responses you got in this thread? Regional Fellowship

I hear UT San Antonio is top notch in the San Antonio region.

I hear residency is a good regional training program.

In all seriousness, a regional fellowship is pretty questionable at best.

I looked at the ASRA listings - my “top notch” picks are Pensacola (literally the program is called “BLOCKJOCKS”), Miami and UC San Diego. My criteria? Nice, warm and beachy climates. If you are going to potentially (probably?) waste a year, at least do it in an awesome location.

THIS.

For those people that have been playing video games ever since they were a kid (and those that still play complex hand-eye coordination games), they possess all the technical skills (basically trying to visualize a 3d structure with a 2d image) necessary to do all the regional techniques. What then is the benefit gained from a regional fellowship? You spend a year doing something that you could theoretically master in a month or possibly learn on the job?

better get something else out of it.

Nah, no reason to rehash the same arguments we've all made in like 5 different threads!

A Wake Forest Residency is a pretty darn good regional fellowship.
