Hello everyone! I applied and have been accepted to Regis University MS Biomedical Sciences Program. Has anyone else applied or have been accepted? I am pretty sure this is the first year of the program and it was listed on the postbach list on AAMC. Anyone have ANY opinions/suggestions/concerns about this program? I am excited about going but would like to know as much as I can before I accept the offer. 🙂

Congrats on the acceptance! I too am really curious about this program, and I'm thinking about applying. How much is tuition?

I think around $30000 for a year, which is the duration of the program. I have not received the acceptance packet yet, which will hopefully have that information included.

Well if anyone is going there, let me know! I cannot wait to meet my new classmates. 🙂

Hi guys. I already applied and its already been about 2-3 weeks. They said they were gonna let me know in that bit of time. I am SO nervous!!! So any day now I hope. How long did it take you guys to find out?

I applied over 3 weeks ago and I'm anxious to hear back! Hopefully any day now. 🙂

How long did it take others to hear?

ddsdesire:

I applied 3 weeks ago as well and its coming up to 4 weeks and I havent heard anything from them. I left emails and called the coordinator and still nothing. I wonder if its just an influx of emails or applicants?

Heard anything back yet?

Hi razefire, I sent them an email the other day and got a reply back soon after. They said they will be reviewing applications within the next week or two so we should hear back relatively soon! :xf:

DDS Desire did you hear anything from them? All I got was them telling me that I was waitlisted 🙁 🙁 did you get in?

Hi Everyone,

Late to the thread, but thought I would wait to hear back from Alice at Regis before I said anything.

I sent in my application a month ago, but I had issues with my supporting documents and Regis' online form so I have been in constant contact with Alice.

Today, I received my acceptance email, but I also got acceptance elsewhere so I have to choose now.

There is not too much information on the program because I assume it is new as miramorel has mentioned, but does anyone know more about the program than what is said on the website.

I am from California so I have never been to Denver, but I have been through the Jesuit education for nearly my entire academic career.

ddsdesire: I would definitely just keep calling Alice. When I called very recently, she said that they were in the end stages of their admission cycle so she would possibly know by now.

razefire: Sorry to hear, but calling Alice again so she knows who you are cannot hurt you.

Hi razefire, I was accepted. However, I just sent them an email saying that I intend to decline their offer, so hopefully you will get my spot! 🙂 Good luck!

yhw: All I know is that the program is brand new. All I know is what the website says unfortunately, but the cirriculum does seem pretty strong. I intend to write the admissions committee a letter statinig why I am qualified for the program and what I have been doing since I graduated. I hope this may be the extra boost that shows them that their program peaks my interest. Its in Denver and I would like to stay here as well, so hopefully it works out. Where else have you applied and gotten into? Im still waiting to hear back from Midwestern, Tulane and UMDNJ.

Hopefully I can get some acceptances soon!!

DDSDesire: what program did you end up getting into?

Hi all,

Please do contact me if you have questions about our your in process application or the program in general. We are a first year program, so I know there isn't as much "through the grapevine" info. out there, but I'm more than happy to help out and answer questions. Part of our deal is individualized attention, and that goes for the application process too, so don't be shy to ask. Yhw and razefire are right on, communicating with us and showing your interest (in a non-annoying way of course) is definitely viewed as a good thing. 🙂

Thanks, good luck!

Alice

p.s. tuition is only $22,400 😀

Hi! I recently got accepted and would love to hear everyone's status!

Hey Everyone,

Besides Regis, I also applied to UMDNJ, PCOM, Midwestern, and the Touro's. Still waiting on Midwestern and the Touro's, but I got into UMDNJ and PCOM.

Hi guys, I finished my application right before the June 1st deadline and heard back today June 13th. I was quite surprised on the rapid response, but I guess strong applications truly help.

I am from California, but I also applied to Rosalind Franklin, George Mason, and UMDNJ.

I am in the middle of writing an supplementary letter, I am almost done. My app isnt the strongest so I think it will help.

I applied to both Midwestern campuses. Have you guys heard back Midwestern yet at all? Was the UMDNJ program fairly easy to get into?

who else has gotten into Regis so far?

As far as right now, I am still waiting for RF, UMDNJ, and George Mason. I am hoping for George Mason so I can get a seat for an interview at Georgetown University's medical college.

razefire: UMDNJ might already be full, perhaps thats why it will take a while. I'm going to put a deposit for Regis ($350 non-refundable). But if other colleges takes me I will decline Regis, unless of course, since this is the first class (at UCI, they gave full tuitions for the new programs in nursing, law, and business majors) how nice would that be if there was a perk for being the first class!

I got into both, still waiting on two. I'm really thinking now where to go.

So who all has decided on for sure going to the Regis program? I believe I have and would love to be in touch with those that are planning on being at Regis!!

I got previously accepted and will be attending the program this fall. Feel free to PM if you have any questions.

I am currently waitlisted but I hope to get in with a supplementary letter I am almost done writing
