Hi guys,

Anyone in this category? I hear that some schools do not reject people they interview - only accept them or place them on a waitlist. Does anyone know if this is true for RWJ?

no RWJ has rejected a lot of people they have interviewed...one of my friends being one...according to US News 60% of the interviewees are accepted. However, I dont expect the rest of 40 % to be put on the waiting list.

I spoke to the admissions officer and she told me that recently the RWJ waiting list is moving rather slow because many of the accepted students are enrolling.

Last year, for the 142 places they accepted 343 students out of around 550 students interviewed. So even if they waitlisted the remaining 210 students, only a few would be taken off.

Whoah, this is discouraging. Was your friend rejected this year post-interview?

I am losing all hope... 🙁

beponychick-when did you interview? I interviewed the first week of January and still haven't heard anything. I called the admissions office and they said that I will be reviewed tonight, but still no call?

has anyone gotten a call as a resul tof tonight's meeting?

I actually interviewed Feb 3rd, so I know I have a while to wait. I am just nervous because RWJ is my first choice school and my numbers are not that great so there is a big chance I will not make it. I think I had a good interview, and I wrote a letter of intent to the dean, but I do not know if that will help much.

I wish you luck. Hopefully good news is comming your way. 🙂

did they tell you guys if there were still spots left?

I assume there were spots left because there was no mention of the waitlist. But then again, I may have interviewed for a waitlist spot... who knows!

my friend got rejected last year...keep ur hopes up...if u were interviewed and didnt hear anything, that doesnt mean you waitlisted.

I know this is all stressful and I am not teasing anyone, but I thought this might provide a moment of levity:

I was rejected from RWJ pre-APPLICATION. 😀 I never actually sent in the secondary because I decided that there was no chance that we could move that far from the city (and my husband's job) for me to go to school. I figured, why spend the extra money when I didn't think it would work anyway.

Last week I got the rejection letter.

Little defensive, don't you think?
