when should we start getting rejections if we simply do not pass the filters from a program. Is it safe to assume that after a few days if the program has downloaded our applications that you have passed the initial filter screen?

Once you get an interview or rejection, you can safely assume that you have gotten either an interview or rejection. All other assumptions are faulty.

Most programs will not start sending out rejections until they are pretty sure that they will match. Until then, and unless it is clear that you are absolutely not an appropriate candidate, we have every incentive to keep you in the "maybe" pile.

I know people who have already received rejections. And, several of us have already received invitations. However, pretty much all of us will match this March 15th. 🙂
