VA-MD out of state rejection too...before Thanksgiving (snail mail)
I have to admire their speed. Seriously. If they're not going to accept you anyway, I'd rather know in November rather than March. It hurt less to not wait so long. Wish other schools would be so kind.
Chin up, Katie! I'm assuming you applied elsewhere, like me...we've still got a solid couple of months to be hopeful 😳
Last year, Va/Md waited until DECEMBER to tell me that my application was incomplete. And of course they told me this right in the middle of finals week so I had to scramble around getting my supplemental done.
when i get nervous/stressed i eat chocolate. my pants feel tighter as the weeks pass. if i dont hear soon, i swear they'll have to roll me to my mailbox. VETSCHOOLS ARE BAD FOR YOUR HEALTH!
This is such an up-beat thread...class of 2011 is all about the pain
This thread makes me sad. 🙁 I guess it's more motivation to do well on my finals next week.
Damn...I havent even applied yet, and I'm eatin chocolate like the're no tomorrow, thanks to my orgo final.
You think semi sweet baker's chocolate is bad? Try spoonfulls of dry nesquick chocolate milk mix. Wannabe vet = masochists![]()
lol...unfortunately you are "locked in" to w/e the GPA was when you applied. No school that I know of re-evaluates you after you send your transcripts. They just care if you get w/e the minimium is....usually that's a C or better in pre-reqs and also you can't get a D or F in any course work..
Rejected, Mississippi State today 🙁

At least they didn't tell me 3 days before x-mas😳

Waiting on UF, Iowa, Kansas (not looking good) and OK. I know I won't get into FL this year. I visited there this summer and they told me there's almost zero possibilty of me getting in. I don't have as much vet tech experience hours and can't quit my full time professional job to tech for hours, so I'm just doing the Saturday thing. I know some school want to see you've applied a few times to make sure you are serious. I'm 32 and really don't want to get accepted when I'm 40.
OSU....now I'm 2 for 2. If this were baseball I'd be batting 1.000 and making millions 🙁

what does 63% translate to?
I still think it's a goofy test for us to be taking anyway...the test was a better measure of my ability to drive to the testing center than it was of anything else.
Haha, I totally agree! Although that doesn't bode well for me, considering I got lost on the way there, and the testing center proctor hung up on me when I called for directions!
I did well on the math (610) but my verbal stinks. Who cares if I know what cacophony means....like that'll help me better communicate with a client?
Many of these people will impress admissions at a vet school with their academic talent and lie about how they will do large/farm animal work, when their true intentions are to work in a small animal clinic and take advantage of hard working middle-class Americans (by trying to live the lifestyle of some MDs). The poor farmers and lower class large animal owners really get hurt by this process and it is a true shame for them when someone who does not want to do a herd check gets called out and charges them a huge fee for spite.
