Release to Undergraduate Health Professions Advisor

This isn't compulsory, is it? Since I'm a post-bac and haven't really kept in touch with an advisor, I don't know if I should release it to the univ. I graduated from or to the school I'm currently in, as a post-bac.... or not release at all?
