i noticed in the AAMC THx website that there is an option of selecting which score to be released to the AACOM. does this mean i can choose to release the higher score if i took the mcat twice?

I believe they want all your scores. That option just gives them an idea of what to expect. When you release your scores through AAMC, I believe they get all of them after 2002 or something like that.
