hi all,

so, while i was teaching today (i'm a pilates instructor) i was accidentally clocked in the head by a big wooden bar attached to a spring. (stupid situation - client let go of the bar and it swung upwards where i was just barely too close and got smacked) 😱

anyway, now i have a few stitches above my left eye and it's starting to bruise really bad. does anyone have any good advice to prevent a black eye? (or at least to mitigate some of the bruising?) other than sunglasses of course... 😎

thanks in advance...

I'm sure you already know this, but of course icing helps, and take Advil! And sleep with your head raised on a bunch of pillows, too. Ouch. I had a black eye one time and it hurt! Hope you feel better soon!

Alice from the Brady Bunch uses a big slab of uncooked meat (and this is the important part) crusted with meat tenderizer. Just watch out for the e-coli.

There is no "cure". Jus t gotta wait for the body to do its thing. Banana peels help bruising heal faster.

The little boy from the Sand Lot was treated the same way after he got a baseball to the eye.
