Remineralization question for dental students

Hi guys,

I'm not an actual dental student but i have a question regarding teeth so I figured this is the best way to do so. Have you guys heard of teeth re mineralization? My dentist told me today that my back molars is starting damage (weaken?) but no cavities right now and stressed that there is potential for it to become a cavity. Is there a way to prevent and rebuild since at this point its not a cavity? Thanks
