Fresh off the press RCT comparing 3 different removable offloading modalities, basically even though a removable TCC boot can reduce pressures much better than a forefoot wedge shoe, they still got similar rates of healing at 12 weeks due to noncompliance. I guess I’d have to re-evaluate my opinion on those forefoot wedge shoes.

90% of the problem with a removable cast walker (for DFUs) is in 1/3rd of its name. It’s removable!
