Removable Prosth

For those of you that are dental students, or recent grads, what is/was the emphasis - or lack of - regarding removable prosth? There seems to be much less emphasis in this area and much more in the higher end restorative or cosmetic services, although according to the recent issue of JADA, the need for removable prosth services has grown dramatically. Interested to hear your comments.
