Well let's first see which hormones come from kidney.

Vitamin D
Renin
Erythropoeitin

anything else?

More importantly I am interested in knowing where exactly they come from kidney. Renin comes from juxtaglomerular cells (not macula densa). Perhaps Vitamin D probably comes from Proximal convoluted cells (correct me if I am wrong) and what about eythropoetin? There was a question in kaplan histology asking for its source, and the answer they gave was mesangium. Wikipedia states it as peritubular capillary endothelial cells. Now what?

Vitamin D doesnt come from kidney, it just gets 1 alpha hydroxylated by 1 alpha hydroxylase in the PCT (25-VitD to 1,25-VitD). According to Goljan, EPO comes from the endothelial cells of the peritubular capillaries.

Well the ultimate source is kidney actually 🙂 Anyway if Goljan says that, kaplan is doomed
