I got a 9 for the AAMC #9.... thats 9 total points for all of the section. Is it bad? I am taking MCAT this April.

Do you mean a 9 was your total score with taking all 3 sections?????????? If that's the case, no offense really, but yeah you need to learn your material and take a lot of tests before you can even think about taking the real deal.

does not understand sarcasm.

I understand sarcasm. But sometimes its hard to convey in written words. Sometimes there are people on here who would actually ask such a question with seriousness. The only way really to indicate sarcasm on here is with the emoticons because it is hard to convey the tone through written word sometimes. So I apologize if you were just joking around.

OOOkay I think I'm one of the normal MCAters someone was talkin about...input would be greaattt

5r- (7,8,8)-23
6r-(8,9,9)-26---verbal and bio..i was ONE question in each away from a 10

Ummm, there probably are people out there scoring 9s...so if this post didn't make them feel like ****, they've got some thick skin.

Appreciate the honesty.
You're improving, which is a good sign man. Keep up the good work. I keep fluctuating around the 27 mark. Nothing higher than a 28 yet 🙁 I'm planning on just taking a PS and maybe a VR tonight. Got so much work this week and a Physics exam next monday 🙁

Good luck to ya!

Which is precisely why I didn't recognize the sarcasm in the post. I actually knew someone that scored a 9 total when they took the MCAT.

I took a practice exam with a friend of mine and they got a 13. There are people out there; I think they need encouragement and not condescension.

I know that is is hard to believe but some people atually lie.

Call me crazy, but I don't see the benefit of lying about a low score. If I was going to lie about a score, I'd make it a helluva higher number than 13. More like, 39, to make myself feel better.

The secret to a successful lie is a plausibility.

A 33 is more plausible than a 39.

No trust me!!!!!!!! I know plenty of people who actually have gotten like 13-19 range on their diags and don't seem to be going up for whatever reason. They aren't lying because some of them have shown me their score reports.

And I've seen the online MCAT Thx for the girl that got a 9 on her actual MCAT.

The one's who lie usually try to say they got a 33-35 when they lie.

McGillGrad said:

What I don't understand is how it would be in someone's best interest to lie about a 13.

I don't follow. I took this exam with her so I know she's telling the truth. So are you accusing me of the lie? Or are you just making a general observation?

The latter.

i've been getting 9's across the board 🙁 averaging 26/27
arrg wheres my 30!!!

3r - 30
4r - 31
5r - 32
6r - 32

I'm not at my goal of 35 that I had at the beginning of this whole mess but really, I just want to break 30 so I never have to do this again. I tend to get pretty bad test anxiety so hopefully I can maintain these scores on test day. Enter encouragement here: ___________ 🙂

today i got a 46, wow such an improvement. this thread is pointless.

I can understand where you are coming from with saying the thread is pointless. However, I think the OP just wanted to see how everyone was doing and what kind of trends they had in their practice scores. The only real down side is that none of the normal non 35+ people really post accept for 1-2 people so you don't get realistic sample size of how people are doing.

OK...I'll be brave and post my more "normal" scores. Seeing so many people scoring over 35 did suddenly make me feel too "stupid" and insecure to openly post my scores. Maybe this way I can hold myself more accountable for my studies in the next 2 weeks and push myself into >30 score on the actual test day.

Test/Date Scores (BS, PS, VR)
TPR4911 12/5/05 19(7,7,5)-No studying. Haven't seen some of the material for years.
TPR4921 1/30/06 21(9,7,5)- Another lousy score really motivated to get my act together!
TPR 4931 2/21/06 29 (10,11,8)
TPR 4951 3/11/06 25 (9,8,8)- 1 question away in BS and PS from next score.
TPR 4961 3/23/06 32 (10, 11,11)
AAMC 6R 3/25/06 27 (10,9,8) Was 1 question away in PS in making 10, 2 away in BS in making an 11
AAMC 5R 4/3/06 34(12,12,10)- thought this was alot easier than others...I'm not sure if this is indicative of any dramatic actual improvement on my part
AAMC 8 This week
AAMC 7 This weekend
AAMC 9 Next week

I'm so tired of studying for this thing that I just hope on test day I pull >30 so that I do not have to take this ever again!

Good luck to all of you out there!

This is exactly how I felt. Here are my scores so far...

Kaplan Diagnostic: (6,7,5)= 18
Kaplan FL #1: (7,7,7)= 21
AAMC 6: (6,5,9) 🙁 (don't know what happened here?)
Kaplan FL #2: (7,8,8)= 23
Kaplan FL #3: (8,8,8)= 24
AAMC 4R: (8,7,8)= 23 (AAMC verbal is kicking my butt)
AAMC 5R: (9,8,9)= 26
Kaplan FL #4= (9,8,8)= 25

Be nice!

Okay Ill make everyone feel good about themselves! I dont know how the F$#% this happened and I'm pissed beyong belief...and confused...imput would be nice....took
8-today--7,7,7,-21....WTF! I've never gotten this low!! Is this reflective of what the real mcats like?? Soo confused...scroll up for my other scores..

Don't feel so bad...AAMC 8 was pretty hard from what the people said in my TPR class. Just think of it as getting that one "bad" score out of the way. At least you did better than me on the verbal. Damn VR is keeping me from getting at least an interview!

5R: 10, 5, 10
6R: 11, 7, 12
7: 10, 6, 12
8: 9, 6, 12
9: this weekend

By test 7, I virtually had 0 careless mistakes and made a 14 in PS. On 8 they came back, knocking me down to a 12 =(

I think I may be the first to report aamc 9 scores:
10/10/10

8R
10/9/10

3R
11/12/11

too bad oxeye beat you to it, she took it like seconds after it came out.

I'm going to be studying 7, 8 and 9 to a much higher extent than any of the other exams. They seem to be a totally different type of exam than 3-6, which in retrospect, almost seem like a waste of time to have taken.

word. and having taken the real thing, i can tell you that 7 and 8 are VERY much like the real thing. i don't know about 9 yet...but that's my $0.02.

AAMC 7: 28 (PS-10, VR-7 (ha!), BS-11)

I have no words for that VR score; I think I'll take it with a grain of salt and move on.

On the plus side, I was close to an 11 in PS, and had some silly mistakes, so I feel OK with the sciences for now.

Unfortunately, the timing of my midterms couldn't be worse; killer midterm in Organic II on Thursday, and I absolutely have to study for it because I have to drop one of my first 2 exams.

Meh. Gimme my damn 30, and make it all go away.

I got a 10/9/10...how did you find bio? I thought it was harder than crap. Thank God for my semi-descent reasoning skills that I was able to pull out that 10.

ya,
so i guess everyone here also thinks the ammc7 verbal was a b*tch?

the one i got yesterday is like 13ps, 9verbal, 12bio

i got completely murdered in 2 passages in verbal, (all wrongs, the last one about the historical empires was a b*tch)

I did not notice a difference at all in AAMC 8's BS. Pretty standard stuff. I actually had 11 minutes left over but then again, I didn't get what I wanted. The careless mistakes struck back in 8...

I agree. Bio was different..and more difficult compared to 8 or 9. Hopefully, we'll have something compared to the other exams!

Wow, I just took 7R: 14/10/12. Holy moly. My previous best score was a 32 so this came out of left field. I though the PS was much more straight forward but there was one verbal passage that I spent nearly 20 minutes on which messed up all the passages I had to rush you through towards the end. Hopefully this upward trend stays for test 8 and 9!

I'm either too mediocore or too honest:

3r: 8V, 9P, 10B --> 27
5r: 9V, 11P, 10B --> 30

taking 7,8,9 in the remaining week and a half.
i am finding, however, that mcat is not all about how much knowledge you have, but how well you can read and comprehend. it seems like so much more than i had expected are in those silly little passages.

Stop the shananigans! this is not average, and look fwd. to getting something in this ballpark! It would be kind of boring if everyone earned 45's.

5r - 31
6r - 32
7r - 33
8r - 33

dont remember the exact score break down (i cant think, i ate myself into a food coma)

taking 9 this weekend and i hope to break 35!! 😀

anyone think 4r's verbal was hard as hell?

3r: 40
4r: 36 (i think) due to some craaaaazy VR
5r: 37 (i think)
6r: 38 (i think)
8: leisurely read through problems, did not mimic conditions, seemed
comparable (burnt out at the time).
9: 37-39 (13/14 cusp PS, 13 VR, dangerously close to 11 in BS)
7: TBA

as you can tell, i don't obsess about the scores, (a) because i know i'm doing very well and (b) it's psychologically helpful to assume at all times that one is not yet "ready," so that one keeps a good study pace.

5r - 13p 10v 13B 36
6r - 13p 10v 12B 35
7r - next week
8r - 14p 9v 14B 37 <-- very disappointing verbal

Some thoughts on 8r --> the level of questions are on par with
recent AAMC (i've taken the test last year)
i didn't think PS was that difficult, but i can explain why others feel so
it's probably because of unfamiliar subjects (such as young's slit diffraction,
lots of precipitation crap for Gchem. <-- i hate these.. so boring)
Verbal i knew i was doing bad cuz i was constantly suppressing an anger from a big fight from yesterday.. not good to fight a week b4 MCAT..

anyways,, i think 7r will be my last test.. unless some kind person will offer me
an aamc 9r? 🙂

3r: (13, 11, 13) = 37
4r: (13, 9, 12) = 34
5r: (13, 10, 12) = 35
6r: (12, 12, 12) = 36
7: (13, 10, 13) = 36
8: (14, 11, 13) = 38
9: Monday

Woohoo! Hopefully my score on 8 is <= the real thing! 😀

YUCK on 8's Verbal!
13/9/14 for me...REALLY excited about sciences, desperate for a 10 in verbal!

5r: 15p, 12v, 12b 39
6r: 14p, 10v, 12b 36
7: 15p, 11v, 15b 41 😱
8: 14p, 12v, 13b 39

9 tomorrow!

4/15/06: 6R - PS10, VR9, BS11
4/16/06: 7R - PS9, VR9, BS11

One week of solid review to come and I'll take 8R on thursday probably to see if I've weeded out any of my weaknesses

In order of dates taken...
8: 28
4R: 31
5R: 30
9: 30
3R: So far, a 21 (I'm taking this one in sections, so I need to finish Bio)
7: 31 (yesterday)

I've also taken 4 Kaplan FLs (28, 32, 30, 30). As long as I hit 30+, I think I'll be thrilled.

I'm baffled.

7R
11 10 9.

My first MCAT, I got a 6 in the PS (really didn't study). The 2nd I panicked and bailed on the exam. This time I repeated a chem course and studied my a** off, and I'm getting an average of a ten. Cool! My dream is a 30, but I would also be pleased with a 29, so maybe I'll get lucky (My 8r was a 29).
