request an interview?

Hi all -

I'm from CA and will be back East in December to present at a conference. I'd like to contact all the Boston programs I haven't heard from to ask for an interview while I'm there. Any suggestions for how to word such a request - I don't know why I'm nervous.

simple. just call them, say you are an applicant to the program and are going to be in the area. if possible, you would like to arrange you interview at the same time to minimize travel costs.

most of the time the people you talk with are going to be very helpful and accomodating. they want good candidates just as much as you want a good program. there is no need to be intimidated, or afraid to talk to them.
