My impression. Seems to be a very laid back program. The faculty are extremely personable. The chairman delivered a short presentation before the interviews began regarding the program and syracuse as a city. He had a great sense of humor.
Seems to be a front-loaded program with a good mix of in and outpatient medicine. They just built a bio-engineering, sports facility with all sorts of basketball courts and other sporting equipment rigged with pressure and force sensors for sports rehab and bio-mechaical research. I dont think that residents get a protected time at this facility but during electives work can be done there. KNock yourself out.
Residents seem to be outdoorsy (at least the ones at the interview) and generally had a particulary interest in being in Syracuse for family or other reasons.
