Request transcripts before filling in course work?

Quick question: Do I need to fill out my course work before I send my transcripts to AMCAS? I don't want to start doing the AMCAS "busy work" until after my MCAT, but I hear that they take forever to verify your transcripts or whatever, so I wanted to get them in ASAP. Thanks 🙂

I think the answer is "no" so go ahead and take care of that! =)

You can send in your transcripts before submitting or filling out the primary. You will have wanted to open an application, or at least have an AMCAS number, because if I remember right, I put it down on the paper that went with the transcript.

I also found it helpful for myself to have a copy of my transcript when I filled out all the courses on the primary 😳
