Im not sure if there is any fellowship program director here in the forum, however if an applicant apply to a fellowship (for example stroke), is it preferred to have the 3 letter of recommendation from stroke neurologists ? What is the weight of a letter from program director/associate director (if not a stroke neurologist) and chair/vice chair in this case or it is only about what that neurologist will write about you in the letter and it doesnt matter if he is a stroke neurologist or not.
