1. For undergraduate basic re-reqs classes like General Chem, Bio, Physics all require that you take the class with the labs.

For upper level classes, my biochem major does not require me to take the lab that goes with genetics. Do dental schools require you to take all labs that go with the classes in order to get credit? I thought I heard that somewhere.

2. I took calculus 1 and 2. Next year I have to take physics. While dental schools only require basic physics (algebra physics where you get all the equations and plug and solve), since I took calculus would it be of any benefit to take the calculus based physics? Would it draw a red flag that I took calculus and then took the easy physics? The only benefit I would get is for my biochem major, I have more options for classes I can take.

Any advice would be great. Thanks.

1. i dont think dental schools really care about you taking/not taking labs for upper division bio classes like genetics. doens't you school require you to take the lab regardless? i might still take it because i learn of alot in lab. i also liked some of my upper division labs.

2. i dont think dental schools really care about which physics you take. if you hate physics, then you probably will have a hard time in either of them. if you like physics, then you probably will have a easy time in either of them.

Most schools don't require labs outside of the core courses, but some do. Example, UF requires labs in biochem, micro, and genetics. Go to each school's website to check on prereq requirements. This information is all available out there.
Adcoms won't give a rip if you take calculus based physics or something easier. They probably won't even notice, as long as your course says physics in it somewhere.
