To anyone who can answer this question,

What schools require the 2nd quarter of Ochem lab? I noticed that most schools require 8 semester hours of Ochem including laboratories. I believe this translates to 12 credits for the quarter system. I have taken 3 quarters of Ochem and 1 quarter of Ochem lab. This amounts to 13 credits at my shcool, do I still need to take the 2nd lab? Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

you know... im confused about this too...
My university offers
Orgo I (4 credit hours WIHTHOUT the lab)
Orgo II (3 credit hours without the lab)
and Just 1 Orgo lab (2 credit hours).... thats 9 total... is this enough?

I heard alot of schools are like this, they don't have Orgo 1 and 2 labs seperatly, I hear they are combined together

I think all you need to do is get the minimum of credit hours, I don't think they really care how you got it because they know each school offers it differently.

that sounds like a good thing... My general chemistry classes are like that too..

General 1 (4 credit hrs)
General 2 (only 3 credit hrs)

All I need is to take General 1 lab (which I am doing right now) and that puts me to 8 credit hrs... SWEET!!
However just to be on the safe side, I'll also take General 2 lab (btw I don't enjoy chemistry labs alot, they are kinda boring.... well....some of the experiements are REALLY boring)

Some schools say specifically you need Gen. Chem and OChem 1 and 2 with labs so be careful. You may limit your choices if you don't do the labs.

Thanks for the responses you guys. I think I am going to place my final ochem lab under planned course work to be safe.

Here is how ochem went at my school on a quarter system.

Ochem (chem 237) - 4 credits
Ochem (chem 238) - 4 credits
Ochem (chem 239) - 3 credits

Ochem lab (chem 241) - 3 credits
Ochem lab (chem 242) - 3 credits

I've taken all but chem 242. I have 14 credits (thought it was 13 at first) of ochem out of the 12 usually required from other shcools. Anyone else apply in the past and figured this one out?
