Reschedule Interview?

Complicated story, but basically I had surgery today and an interview on Friday. When I first found this out (the school assigned me a date, so I didn't choose this) I called my surgeon and he said that the procedure was minor and I would be fine to go ahead with my interview as scheduled. Unfortunately today there was a complication with my surgery and I'm in a lot more pain than expected. My interview is at the same hospital that my surgery was at and my surgeon is a professor and the med school and said he would be willing to contact someone and reschedule the interview. Basically, I'm wondering if rescheduling would look bad even if it's for a legitimate reason

doubt it will look bad. i mean the guy is a professor at that same med school? thats pretty convenient lol
