So I'm half way thru DATbootcamp and I'm a little concerned with my scores. I avg a 20 in the sciences, 18 PAT, 18 RC and 17 QR. That being said I haven't been able to finish any of the PAT, RC & QR sections for the 3 tests I've taken. These scores aren't bad for not finishing the sections (usually 8-10questions left unanswered when time expires). But still I'm worried that the same will happen on the actual DAT. When going thru the answers for the questions I didn't get to I get most of them correct but then again I'm not being timed. So I'm not really sure how confident i should feel about my test NEXT WEEK :/. I went thru destroyer twice and have done 6/8 tests in math destroyer. destroyer QR wasn't too bad (28/40) Math destroyer is pretty tough though. I can't tell if BC QR is hard or that I just need to be more efficient in solving the problems. SO that brings me to my question... should I reschedule?! If not any tips you guys can give me for being more time efficient in the RC and QR sections?

I would reschedule. Only take it when you feel like you're fully prepared.

I think the biggest issue here is that you're just shaking off the fact you weren't able to finish the practice test within the allotted time. I don't want to sound so blunt, but you know you won't have the luxury to go back to the questions you couldn't finish on the real exam. If you can't finish the test on time, you're simply not ready, especially for next week :/ You may know the materials really well, but if you haven't practiced enough to make use of your knowledge quickly, it's not good enough. It seems like you can improve tremendously and achieve great scores with more practice so I'd postpone the test till you are sure you can finish the tests within time limit!
And I think BC is known for its challenging QR question. So I wouldn't be too worried.

I am taking the test this week and I feel very prepared.

However, I still can't finish RC with more than a minute or two left on bootcamp and I can't finish QR on bootcamp and barely have any time on PAT.


I use Dat Qvault and have tons of time left for all sections and I did 2007 and 2009 ADA and finished with tons of time.

Bootcamp is much harder time wise.

I highly recommend taking he 2009ADA as a gauge wether or not you should reschedule (also, the RC and QR on that are supposed to be harder to, but time wise should be similar)

Let me quote you,

"I am taking the test this week and I feel very prepared."

That is how every student should feel before attempting the DAT, if you have doubt it usually means you are not ready. After working with students for many years, if in doubt it is always best to reschedule. This is NOT a test you want to repeat if it can be avoided.
