I have decided to hold off taking the MCAT this summer, and I am going to push it back next year. As a junior this coming fall, when is the latest I should take the MCAT and still hope to enter med school in the Fall of 2013?

Thanks in advance.

There are a lot of detailed information about application timeline/admission process so make sure you search that on the pre-allo forum.

Just to give you an idea, to enter in 2013 you should apply in the summer of 2012 (and as early as possible, to maximize your chances. Search "rolling admission" for more info). It typically takes a month to get your scores back so you should probably take the MCAT early 2012, around Feb or Mar (I forgot which months were available), so you could re-take around May or Jun if needed.

Then you'll send in your secondaries after that (around Jul~Sep 2012 I think) and go to interviews. Then you'll get acceptance letters around Oct~Dec 2012, or as late as Mar 2013, I think. Then you'll graduate and go to med school in Aug~Sep 2013.

Hope that helped!
