Use all the free resources available to you from SDN: articles, guides, expert advising, forums discussions, and school research.
If you got something tangible out of the experience (e.g., a poster presentation, an abstract, maybe even a pub, etc.) then I would say definitely do something else unless you WANT to do research. Even if you didn't, I would do something else unless, again, you just want to do research. There's no arbitrary threshold at which you "have enough" of any one activity. Only you can decide that since only you know what you got out of your experiences and what your overall "profile" is looking like.
