This might be a dumb question but

On eras when you fill out research experience, in the description box, are you describing your research or your duties ?

I just described the research since the projects were mine (first author) and I assumed that all the duties entailed were implied to be mine. If you weren't the lead investigator on the project (you probably had a PI/mentor, but I mean besides him/her), then I would probably include a blurb about what parts you were actually responsible for.

Both. e.g. "The aim of the research project was to describe the dating habits of fruit flies. For this project I pipetted bug juice 80 hours a day and contributed to the writing of the 'data collection' section of the manuscript."

-AT.

what about other projects that were presented as finals in class but required research and stuff?
