Research During Quarantine

I live in Michigan which has been hit especially hard during the Corona Virus pandemic, and my friends who have already been in research positions have said it has been cancelled during the duration of quarantine. Is there any way I can make up for this during quarantine? I have emailed my professors and they said all we can do is wait but I this could last for a while.

Nope, you're stuck, just like all the rest of us. I had several outstanding grad students ready to go for me, and then poof...projects gone when the university closed. Sucks.
