Research Fellow, Surgical Research, Full-Time @ Anne Arundel Medical Center
Position Objective:
The Clinical Research Fellow will be required to undertake original research commensurate with the research interests of the Minimally Invasive GI Surgery specialty.

Physical Demands –

If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.

- Develops research objectives, projects and proposals.
- Conducts individual or collaborative research projects.
- Conducts research projects leading to data gathering and review, statistical analysis, abstract and manuscript preparation and presentation.
- Identifies sources of funding and contribute to the process of securing funds.
- Writes or contributes to publications or disseminates research findings using other appropriate media.
- Makes presentations at conferences or exhibit work at other appropriate events.
- Contributes to teaching activities of the department and SAIL.
- Acts as program leader, course leader or module leader.
- Establishes relationships and collaborates with AAMC s Research Institute, staff of SAIL Institute and members of Department of Surgery as identified by Chair.
- Attends meetings as assigned by Chair of Surgery.
- Possession of an earned doctoral degree from an accredited university or possession of a degree in medicine from an accredited college or university.
