While doing research on the field of Osteopathic Medicine I came across this article by the AOA: http://www.jaoa.org/content/113/9/654.full
The article encompasses a plan to promote and incorporate research in the Osteopathic Medical profession, for students and doctors. It includes a plan to start granting many DO schools funding for research infrastructure and start-up labs.
Personally, I'm a non-trad applicant with a strong background in Clinical and Translational research applying to DO schools. In my PS I wrote that I " also hope to continue performing clinical and translational research and study novel treatments to help battle health issues." I think that evidence based medicine has a clear and prominent future in Osteopathic medicine.
Do you think there a rightful place for research in DO schools or do you think this was a dagger to my application?
