I am taking a gap year between MS2 and MS3 (March to March at my school) to complete research and have my baby! I am super excited, but am worried about being rusty compared to my classmates when I enter rotations next year. I have already completed step 1.

Any suggestions as to what I should be doing during this year to make sure I stay up to date on medical topics before next march? Or is it not worth my time?

I say if you're taking time off for research, focus on the research.... and maybe your baby

Believe it or not, MS2 to MS3 is quite the jump, and I honestly don't think actively preparing for it will make day 1 easier.

If you are DYING to read/watch something, consider Step Up to Medicine for review, or Online Med Ed videos. Step 1 review materials are often too esoteric for the wards.
