Are you sure? I have the Kaplan book sets too and if I recall correctly, there are a couple of chapters dedicated to research methods. Like in the last couple of chapters in the Physics Kaplan Review book. I have yet to review those chapters but I thought Kaplan covered those terms.
 
Honestly speaking, I do not recall a lot statistics when I took the new MCAT. But then again, there are a lot of things I don't remember from like 2 days ago. I would just say, if you are testing soon, try to practice with AAMC material. Any other third party material would not do you any good since you want to train your brain to recognize the types of passages, questions the AAMC tests.
 
I know what you mean. It could be too much at times. My physics is getting better though. I am just waiting to start practicing so I can identify my weak areas.
