what kind of research opportunities are there for sgu students? does the summer break before clinical allow enough time for sgu students to participate in a summer research opportunity, or do any of the clinical hospitals in ny/nj have programs that sgu can participate in?

you can do research in your hospital during your clincal years IF the there is research available to do. Otherwise if you have a place where you've done research already and they'll take you back you can go there during breaks. I don't think anyone will talk to you at any SGU affiliated hospital before you start clinicals, just because you're an SGU student.

Also try posting your questins on www.valuemd.com that's where most SGU students post. this carid forum is pretty weak compared to valuemd.. a lot more people post there and you'll get a lot more info.
