My university invited me to a couple, but I'm not sure how much time I will be spending in it, nor how difficult it will be. Are they paid? Are they easy? Thanks

The professor would usually assign a Ph.D student to guide you in doing research. My friends and I usually spend 12 - 15 hours per week in lab. Plus writing monthly report at my spare time.
