Dear optometry colleagues,
This website is hosted by Coastal Contacts which is based in British Columbia, Canada. Coastal Contacts was a main political player behind passing the recent change (March 2010) in British Columbia to allow opticians to fill contact lens orders without a valid prescription.
This begins the opportunity for the same to happen in the U.S. It will also hurt your colleagues who are educated here and plan to go back and practice in Canada.

You are entering a business. Be careful who you do business with - including online forums sponsored by a company whose interests are their own.
Sincerely,
