Does anyone know of any researchers focusing on minority mental health? I know that several schools place a focus on diversity and cultural sensitivity, but who is currently looking to take graduate students (clinical psych)?

Seconding the counseling psych suggestion. I am interested in working with ethnic minority populations, and I am also interested in trauma and suicide and had the misconception that I would not gain experience with severe psychopathology in a counseling psychology program. Luckily, I was wrong 🙂 and there's a great advocacy/social justice/equity component to the program that I am so grateful for.

I thought about counseling for a little bit, but I decided that it just wasn't the right field for me, unfortunately. Though, it does make sense that counseling psychology is a little more culturally attuned.
