Does anyone know if it is possible to finish the four-year curriculum in the states and then do a residency abroad, say in New Zealand or Australia? Also, would I then be able to come back and practice in the states or would I have to do residency in the states? Does the international community recognize both allopathic and osteopathic doctors or would an individual be limited as a DO. I am extremely interested in working abroad and possibly attaining residency at some point in another country. I realize it is difficult to attain residency in say New Zealand, but I figure it may be a little easier if I am a doctor and my wife is veterinarian.
Also, does anyone know where I can find job opportunities abroad for this winter. I would prefer an ecologically related position, however I am open to anything. Any help would be appreciated.
