Residency contract not extended after 2 years, 1 year out, NEED advice.

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
The OP quoted his PD as saying he was, "lucky to be keeping his license", so I suspect there's a whole lot more to the situation than he has revealed. (which is probably obvious to everyone)

Obie was dismissed in his 3rd year. It sounds like this poster was dismissed at the end of his 2nd year.

Yeah I know...easy enough to lie on the internet though...just a hunch. Oh well...sorry OP if you're not who I think you are.

How often does this occur? Anyone have stats on this? I'd be curious to know just how many burners there are in each specialty, and if psych is more or less prone than any other field. I smell a study coming on...

Happened to a person in my intern class, so imo, more than I'd like. I'm not sure exact numbers are out there.
