Hey all,
Just wanted to get your opinions about the timing of interviews. I've read some old posts that say it doesn't really matter if you interview early (oct) or wait until late (dec)...just wondering what everyone's thoughts were on this? I'd be traveling over from the UK for these interviews (for IM) so it would be better for me to wait and see if I hear back from other places and just try to do everything in one shot. Is it bad to delay interviews till later or does this look bad to programs? Thanks guys🙂

There are new posts which address this as well.

Programs will give you an option of dates to interview; you cannot choose when you cross the pond.

The conventional wisdom is that don't interview at your most likely preferred program first, as you want some experience at interviewing, before doing there. But there is really no other reason to try and finagle certain dates; your chances of matching are not dependent on when you interview (all other things being equal).
