I’m wondering if anyone on here has gone through residency and moonlighting during that time. How did yall find your jobs? Was it mostly handed fown from senior residents or did you go and find them? Also if you found them where did you start looking for these jobs?

Depends on the residency: if OMFS I’d recommend talking to your seniors and then start reaching out to offices or even some „emergency dental” clinics that have odd hours where you can work. Some peds residencies allow you to moonlight your second year at the hospital and take extra call shift. Anesthesia has moonlighting opportunities built in so you can just take shifts as they come. Ortho or endo would probably be your best bet to do the emergency dental clinics since they are pretty forgiving on what hours you can be there.
