I hope this thread will serve as a good reference for all the recent dental graduates.
What are some good resources to look for dentistry jobs? I am not talking about internet postings on websites like monsters.com or dentalpost.net, etc. All these websites have the same few jobs. These listings can't possibly be all that new graduates use to find jobs. So if you have some advise on how to go about landing a job as a newly minted dentist, I would like to hear it! Thanks!

Call up state dental societies, most of them have job listings. Get the names of the regional reps for the large dental supply companies (Sullivan Schein, patterson, etc) for an area that you might want to work in and call them up and ask if they know of any of "their" docs that might be/are looking for an associate. The reps very often know more than you think they might in this area:idea:

A buddy of mine figured out the are he wanted to work, looked in the yellow pages for every dental office in the area, and sent a professional letter to each one inquiring about associateship positions and potential practice sales/partnerships.

Worked pretty damn well actually.

Great News 😀

There are many agencies and firms out there that assist in helping dental professionals locate viable practice opportunities. I currently work with an Executive Search firm that specializes in dentistry know as Bruce Henry Associates.

If you call in to any of these offices, send them a current and up to date CV, they will do what they can to locate practice opportunities in the area you may be interested in.

Just offering something I can share on. I am currently learning the dental industry, or at least the business behind the practicing aspect.

Let me know if this helps in any way!
